MRI component developerMedrad has introduced a new contrast injector system, Spectris Solaris, that’s compatible with MR scanners ranging from 0.2 tesla to 2 tesla. The product is expected to be available on a worldwide basis in March, according to the Indianola, PA-based firm.
The system features streamlined components that permit its placement on either side of the table, a color touch-screen control console, a "keep vein open" feature that functions independent of the injection profile, expanded saline volume, a multiphase injection control, a "hold and pause" feature, a "check for air" button, fiber-optic connectivity, a remote start/stop control, and expanded storage that can hold up to 32 injection protocols.
