Three-dimensional-software developer Vital Images has released version 3.2 of its Vitrea 2 3-D visualization and analysis software for CT and MR image data. The new release includes a CT Cardiac option, which allows for examination of coronary arteries and viewing of a beating heart, according to the Plymouth, MN-based vendor.
Version 3.2 also includes CT colonography enhancements, additional PACS and network integration capabilities, and new productivity tools for 2-D and 3-D visualization and patient data management, according to the firm. Vital Images said it has also incorporated greater reporting flexibility and 4-D visualization tools for capturing of moving images.
