MRI vendor Fonar reported fiscal third-quarter revenues of $19.4 million, up 98% compared with the $9.8 million booked in the third quarter of fiscal 2003. For the period (end-March 31), the Melville, NY-based vendor had a net loss of $1.5 million, compared with a third-quarter net loss of $6.3 million a year ago.
In quarterly highlights, Fonar said that revenues from MRI product sales climbed 273%, from $3.3 million to $12.2 million. Overall, quarterly revenues for the company's medical equipment segment hit $13.6 million, up 206% compared with the $4.4 million turned in during the third quarter of fiscal 2003.
