2008 10 30 09 36 08 751 Analogic Mri 2008(Booth 912) Medical imaging firm Analogic of Peabody, MA, will highlight its AN8140 3-tesla multichannel radiofrequency (RF) amplifier, which it supplies to OEMs of advanced 3-tesla MR systems.

The eight-channel, 4-kW/channel, linear water-cooled RF power amplifier is optimized for pulsed service. Each 4-kW RF amplifier is a single field-replaceable unit with accompanying power supply.

The AN8140 also is expandable up to 128 channels. It is currently available for shipping.
