(Booth 2845) Bracco Diagnostics of Princeton, NJ, will showcase the EmpowerMR power injector, which was acquired through the April 2008 acquisition of E-Z-EM.
The unit also has nonmagnetic injector head construction and no motor-motor control system RF transients in the MR suite during injection. The dual head supports contrast and saline flush.
Tilt sensor/lockout is designed to minimize air embolism risk, and EmpowerMR's color-coded illuminating handle is readable from a distance. Uninterrupted power from the hydraulic system means no batteries are required.
Also look for Bracco to highlight IRiS, Bracco's contrast management software for an MR suite that can track patient identification, creatinine values, contrast, and consumables, such as syringes. All IRiS information can be accessed from a desktop, and data can be displayed and exported to Microsoft Office applications for further review.
