US Oncology names Kerlin as VP

Healthcare network US Oncology has named Marc Kerlin vice president of hospital joint venture development, according to the Houston-based firm.

Kerlin returns to US Oncology following three years as chief executive officer of CHRISTUS Schumpert Highland Hospital in Shreveport, LA. Kerlin previously served as senior vice president of managed care for US Oncology from 1994-2000, the firm said.

His primary responsibility will be developing relationships between the company and hospital systems that are seeking to create standalone oncology facilities with US Oncology-affiliated practices in U.S. markets.
