Interventional device developer Boston Scientific of Natick, MA, has completed a land purchase in Kerkrade, the Netherlands, to house the company’s new distribution center.
The purchase includes approximately 400,000 square feet of land with the potential for future expansion. Boston Scientific said it plans to construct a new 250,000-square-foot distribution center at the site. The facility will be double the size of its current distribution center in Beek, the Netherlands.
The site will serve the company’s European, Japanese, and intercontinental markets. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
