The American Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology (ASTRO) has published a new patient information brochure on radiation therapy, Radiation Therapy for Cancer: Facts to Help Patients Make an Informed Decision.
The free, 28-page booklet offers information and images on radiation therapy for cancer, including breast, lung, and prostate. The brochure also includes a step-by-step guide to all phases of radiation therapy, from pre-treatment to deliver to recovery.
