Varian Medical Systems of Palo Alto, CA, will supply seven linear accelerators to four U.K. radiotherapy centers operated by the country's Department of Health.
The largest installation will be at Kent Oncology Centre in Maidstone, where three Varian Clinac linear accelerators will be installed. They will complement existing Varian accelerators, providing equipment compatibility and helping to increase throughput at the facilities. The new equipment will be installed over the next 18 months.
