The Radiation Management Services division of Cardinal Health has debuted a line of Primalert digital area and doorway radiation monitors.
The Primalert digital area monitors are self-contained units with energy-compensated Geiger-Müller (GM) detectors, according to the Cleveland-based firm. They operate on AC power, with internal battery backup.
The digital doorway monitor is a gamma radiation detection system designed to detect low levels of gamma radiation, Cardinal Health said. It consists of a digital monitor, two shielded NaI (Tl) scintillation detectors with NEMA enclosures, associated cabling, and a 10 µCi 137Cs check source.
