ProCure Treatment Centers of Bloomington, IN, has signed an agreement with the University of Pennsylvania (Upenn) Roberts Proton Therapy Center in Philadelphia to provide advanced training programs and accredit medical professionals in proton therapy.
The pact is designed to expand research on the technology for the delivery of proton therapy, and develop new protocols using protons to treat a wider range of cancer tumors.
The Roberts Proton Therapy Center and ProCure will collaborate to establish new clinical studies to evaluate the use of protons in areas such as proton therapy in combination with chemotherapy and the improved results obtained from increasing dose delivered to tumors.
