Siemens Medical Solutions and cancer treatment software developer Prowess of Chico, CA, have formed an exclusive partnership. The companies will work to develop radiation oncology treatment planning software for integration into Siemens' linear accelerators.
Siemens will be able to share the basic intellectual property of Prowess' Direct Aperture Optimization (DAO) planning software, according to the Malvern, PA-based vendor.
