NAS Q3 numbers improve

Radiation therapy firm North American Scientific (NAS) of Chatsworth, CA, reported revenue growth in the company's third-quarter financial results.

For the period (end-July 31), NAS posted revenue from continuing operations of $3.4 million, up 26% from $2.7 million in sales in the same period the year before. The company's net loss from continuing operations for the period was $4.1 million, compared with a net loss of $3 million in the same quarter a year ago.

The continuing operations numbers exclude the results of the company's Nomos and nontherapeutic product lines, which have been divested.
