Cardiac electrophysiology developer EP MedSystems has submitted its ViewMate intracardiac ultrasound catheter system for CE Mark regulatory approval in Europe.
ViewMate consists of an ultrasound imaging console, an image monitor, and a disposable catheter with a 64-element phased-array transducer on its tip. The system permits views of the interior anatomy of the heart not available with conventional ultrasound imaging, according to the West Berlin, NJ-based firm.
