A new premium system, Alpha 10, incorporates standard cardiovascular features such as stress echo, tissue Doppler imaging (TDI)/strain, transesophageal (TEE) transducers, reporting capabilities, and DICOM networking functionality, according to the Wallingford, CT-based vendor. In addition, Alpha 10 includes other features such as echo tracking for early detection of atherosclerosis, free angular M-mode (FAM), and neonatal TEE capabilities, Aloka said.

Another new system, Alpha 7, offers a suite of cardiovascular capabilities in a package targeted at midlevel and office-based imaging, according to Aloka.
