(Booth 4383) At this year's RSNA conference, Terason of Burlington, MA, will showcase its t3000 CV cardiovascular ultrasound system, which uses a patented chip technology integrated with an ergonomically redesigned user console.

2007 11 02 12 21 21 706Terason t3000 CV is built on the company's Teratech architecture and Fusion processor, which drives 256 beam-forming channels. The scanner's compact size and light weight (8 lb) facilitate imaging in crowded conditions, and it can operate on battery power for more than two hours. Intended for use in cardiovascular and vascular clinical settings, the portable system can be converted to console mode when desired.

Because t3000 runs as a Windows application, it offers PC-related benefits in productivity, such as enabling images, cine loops, and reports to be transferred to standard word processing and presentation applications with cut-and-paste functions. Wireless and Ethernet connectivity are built-in, and DICOM formats are supported.

The system has been granted clearance from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, and is available in the U.S. and worldwide.
