Image processing firm Confirma will be integrating its CADstream breast MRI computer-aided detection software into PACS software from Sectra of Linkoping, Sweden. Under terms of the agreement, the Kirkland, WA-based vendor will also join Sectra’s Clinical Solutions Network.
The CAD product automates breast MR image processing functions and registers study data to correct for patient movement. The system also performs user-defined processes such as subtraction images, uptake and washout curves, angiogenesis maps, maximum intensity projections, multiplanar reformatting, and tumor volume measurements, according to Confirma.
