Fischer to investigate restatement cause

The board of directors of mammography vendor Fischer Imaging has established a special committee for financial matters, which will investigate why Fischer may need to restate its financial results. The committee is comprised of independent directors Harris Ravine and Gail Schoettler, who recently joined the Fischer board, according to the Denver-based vendor. Fischer said it has also retained the law firm of Hogan & Hartson to assist in the investigation.
