Suros Surgical Systems said that its vacuum-assisted ATEC breast biopsy system is being used for MRI-guided breast biopsies at 10 institutions and breast centers. The sites include Lynn Sage Breast Center in Chicago; Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, FL; Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York City; Seattle Cancer Care Alliance at the University of Washington Medical Center in Seattle; and the University of Pennsylvania Medical Center in Philadelphia, according to the Indianapolis-based firm. Suros debuted the MRI-compatible version of ATEC at last year’s RSNA meeting.
