GE Medical Systems parent General Electric’s tender offer to acquire Finnish vendor Instrumentarium has been extended to allow for completion of the regulatory review process. The offer, which is currently scheduled to expire August 29, will now expire 10 Finnish banking days following receipt of required regulatory approval, according to Helsinki-based Instrumentarium. Instrumentarium and Waukesha, WI-based GEMS expect the deal to close in the third quarter.
