Eastman Kodak Health Imaging of Rochester, NY, has released a new mammography film-screen system, the Min-R EV. The product contains a new asymmetric emulsion that provides both high contrast and wide exposure latitude, optimizing the exposure of glandular tissue without contrast loss in fatty areas and the breast periphery, according to the firm.
Improvements in the intensifying screens also deliver increased sharpness, Kodak said. The Min-R EV system, which will be available worldwide by year-end, was trade tested at selected U.S. breast imaging clinics.
