Computer-aided detection developer R2 Technology has received Food and Drug Administration clearance for its ImageChecker DM CAD system with OmniCAD technology. ImageChecker DM is an integrated system that supports CAD processing for both analog and digital mammography images by a single unit, according to the Sunnyvale, CA-based vendor. The first ImageChecker DM installation will take place this week at the Imaging Center for Women at Mary Washington Hospital in Fredericksburg, VA.
