Ethicon expands Mammotome use

Ethicon Endo-Surgery has received U.S. Food and Drug Administration clearance to expand the use of its Mammotome breast biopsy system.

Doctors can now use the system for the management of fibroadenomas, allowing patients to avoid invasive surgery in an operating room, according to the Cincinnati-based company.
