Swedish PACS provider Sectra has received a breast imaging PACS order from Brumammo, a Brussels, Belgium-based breast cancer detection and prevention association.
The project will network multisite clinics within the Brussels region, and allow about 30,000 mammography images from examinations at screening centers in Brussels to be diagnosed, transferred, and stored digitally, according to the Linkoping-based vendor.
In other news, the firm reported fiscal second-quarter (end-October 31) profit after net financial items of $3.3 million (U.S.), up 50% compared with the $2.2 million posted in the same period last year. For the first six months of the fiscal year, Sectra had sales of $28.9 million, down 18.2% from the $35.4 million booked last year. Profit reached $4.9 million, however, up slightly from the $4.8 million turned in during the first half of the previous fiscal year.
