Group purchasing organization Consorta of Rolling Meadows, IL, has signed a purchasing agreement with Hologic of Bedford, MA, covering bone densitometry and mammography equipment.
The deal runs through August 2005, with the option to extend for two years. It covers Hologic's Lorad Selenia full-field digital mammography (FFDM) system and its Discovery bone densitometry unit. Hologic and Consorta are in discussions to add other Hologic products to the relationship.
Consorta's membership includes more than 400 acute-care facilities representing 55,000 beds, and over 1,700 non-acute-care sites.
