Canadian medical imaging software developer Cedara Software has formed a strategic partnership with computer-aided-detection developer Medipattern.
Cedara will promote and market the technology to medical imaging companies worldwide, and will also integrate it into its existing family of mammography and ultrasound products. The Mississauga, Ontario-based firm said it would also market the technology directly to end-users.
The firms will work together to complete and commercialize the technology, with Cedara assisting, in particular, with marketing and product management, validation and engineering, regulatory management, technical authoring, and hot-line support services. Cedara will also have a small equity position in Medipattern, according to the firms.
