Film digitizer vendor Array will be introducing its 2908 MammoPro mammography film digitizer at this week's European Congress of Radiology (ECR) in Vienna.
2908 MammoPro is a self-contained, tabletop digitizer that combines PC connectivity and scanning technology into one compact unit, without requiring a separate PC controller, according to the Hampton, NH-based firm.
The system has resolution of 50 microns and can scan films up to density OD4 at under 30 seconds for an 18 x 24-inch film, according to Array. It features a touch-screen interface with optional add-ons, including keyboard, mouse, and Array's DICOM 3.0-compliant CD burner, according to the firm.
Array expects to release the digitizer in the U.S. market later this year.
