In celebration of Mother's Day, Fujifilm Medical Systems USA of Stamford, CT, last week partnered with Hunter College in New York City and the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) to offer free mammograms to New York City women over the age of 40.
The effort is part of Fujifilm's national public education campaign, called "Images of Health: Mammograms for a Million Moms."
The initiative is raising money for the NBCF, which provides mammograms to women in need nationwide. To date, the NBCF has received more than $30,000 from the sale of special Fujifilm pink cameras, as well as contributions of $300,000 and two Fujifilm FCRm digital mammography systems.
