Candelis unveils MRI, CT viewer and mammo tracking module

Archive developer and medical informatics company Candelis has launched its ImageGrid Advanced Radiology Viewer for MRI and CT studies at this week's RSNA show in Chicago.

The Web-enabled application is designed to facilitate remote workstation reading and secure distribution of imaging data to referring physicians, according to the Irvine, CA-based company. It allows radiologists to view CT and MRI studies from any workstation on a local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), or remote workstations via a virtual private network (VPN) connection.

The viewer also features advanced maximum intensity projection (MIP)/multiplanar reformatting (MPR) capabilities, customized hanging protocols, series linking, and support for up to five monitors.

The application has received U.S. Food and Drug Administration 510(k) clearance and is now available for a retail price of $1,999 per concurrent user.

Candelis also released its ImageGrid Mammography Tracking Module for optimizing mammography workflow. The module provides the ability store exam and pathology results, perform follow-up query using automated letters, and conduct statistical reporting of follow-up analysis and recommendations, according to the company.
