Sensor developer AMS has released a new readout integrated circuit for digital x-ray flat-panel detectors.
AS5850A is a 16-bit, 256-channel digital converter for digital x-ray, digital radiography, mammography, fluoroscopy, and interventional imaging devices, according to the firm. It produces clearer images and reduces patient exposure to radiation, and its platform can be custom programmed for imaging equipment manufacturers' products, AMS said.
