Insight Sciences offers portable computers that are bundled with advanced visualization software applications. At this month's RSNA meeting, the Traverse City, MI, company will debut its new MW Series mobile workstation line.
The MW computers come in three configurations, and are available with upgradeable CPUs, dual disk drives, 256 MB of video memory, and up to 2 GB of main memory. Software available on the computers includes 3D-Doctor, a 3D image processing, modeling, and measurement application for MRI, CT, PET, microscopy, and industrial 3D imaging applications.
Also available is 4D-SPECT, an application for SPECT and PET studies that quantitatively analyzes tomographic nuclear cardiac perfusion and blood-pool studies, and provides measurements in a user-readable format. The measurements can be compared to normal ranges or distributions.
The MW product line will be shown as work-in-progress, but both the 4D-SPECT and 3D-Doctor software applications have FDA clearance, according to the company. Pricing starts at $12,000.
