RSIP Vision unveils AI-based image segmentation tool

Computer software and artificial intelligence (AI) company RSIP Vision has introduced an AI-based image segmentation and measurement tool.

Designed for general-purpose imaging applications, the segmentation and measurement tool can be integrated into medical device software to automatically detect objects of interest and their boundaries, enabling easier and automatic surgical and diagnostic measurements, according to the vendor. It can be utilized with modalities such as x-ray, CT, MRI, surgical robotics, and pathology.

The tool is suitable for a wide range of applications, including, for example, providing one-click segmentation of lesions in multiple organs such as the lungs and the liver, RSIP Vision said. It's available now to medical device manufacturers worldwide, according to the firm.
