Medical device developer Teleflex and virtual reality training and data analysis company FundamentalVR have inked a collaboration agreement.
Under terms of the deal, FundamentalVR will provide Teleflex with a virtual reality training platform called Fundamental Surgery that Teleflex hopes will increase the use of its UroLift 2 system for treating enlarged prostate. It demonstrated the use of FundamentalVR's training incorporated with UroLift 2 at the recent American Urological Association meeting in New Orleans.
UroLift 2 is cleared for use in the U.S. and in Japan, Teleflex said.
