MRI-guided laser ablation therapy developer Monteris Medical said that two new category level 1 current procedural terminology (CPT) codes will soon be available for MRI-guided laser ablation therapy of intracranial lesions.
These new codes, which were accepted by the American Medical Association Editorial Panel in early October, will take effect on January 1, 2022. The American Association of Neurological Surgeons and the College of Neurological Surgeons submitted the application for the codes, Monteris said.
