Diagnostic Ultrasound, Sysmex reach marketing accord

Volumetric ultrasound developer Diagnostic Ultrasound of Bothell, WA, has signed a sales agreement with medical device manufacturer Sysmex of Kobe, Japan to market its V-mode BladderScan imaging devices in Japan.

The BladderScan product measures bladder volume via ultrasound and then reconstructs a 3-D image. The device is used to diagnose conditions such as urinary outflow obstruction and prostatitis, to measure residual urine, and to prevent postoperative retention.
