Spectrum Dynamics secures 510(k) for SPECT/CT AI platform

Spectrum Dynamics Medical has received U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) 510(k) clearance for its Veritas AI Noise Reduction software for use on the Veriton CT digital SPECT/CT system.

Veritas AI is useful across a wide range of imaging conditions, from routine diagnostic scans to delayed post-therapy imaging, the firm said, adding that its Veritas AI Noise Reduction suite includes the Bone-IQ whole-body bone imaging AI application, as well as Thera-IQ AI built for lutetium-177 (Lu-177) theranostics, and MIBG-IQ AI designed for iodine-123 metaiodobenzylguanidine (I-123 MIBG) imaging of pediatric neuroblastoma.

SPECT/CT imaging using the Veriton system supports routine clinical practice, advanced theranostics, and clinical research, the company noted.
