AccuSoft buys KhorosPro software

Imaging software developer AccuSoft has purchased the KhorosPro scientific computing software from Khoral. KhorosPro provides complex data and image analysis, and can handle "five-dimensional" data, according to AccuSoft of Northborough, MA.

The software creates a graphical programming environment that allows users who don't have development experience to easily access and manipulate more than 300 functions to solve problems in a wide variety of applications, AccuSoft said. AccuSoft has re-branded the KhorosPro software as VisiQuest, and is selling the product now, both directly and through authorized resellers. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

AccuSoft said that future product introductions will build on the VisiQuest visual programming environment by incorporating some of the features and functionality from AccuSoft's flagship product, ImageGear.
