Image processing firm Materialise has released version 11 of its Mimics image processing software.
The new release creates 3D structures from scanned images, and allows for performing virtual surgery, according to the Leuven, Belgium-based firm. It also includes an enhanced 3D editor for improved segmentations and a new remesher that enables users to preserve contours and determine triangle size locally based on wall thickness, Materialise said.
In addition, Mimics 11 includes optimized repositioning tools, enhanced x-ray reconstruction, and photo mapping, Materialise said.
