(Booth 3265) Canadian software developer Calgary Scientific will demonstrate recent enhancements in its ResolutionMD line of advanced visualization software.
ResolutionMD Web is designed to provide advanced visualization applications from any computer connected to the healthcare enterprise, including 2D, 3D, multiplanar reformats (MPRs), and maximum intensity projections (MIPs). It supports clinical modules including calcium scoring, coronary analysis, ventricular function, and vessel analysis.
Calgary Scientific has filed a 510(k) application with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for ResolutionMD Web, and availability in the U.S. and worldwide is expected in 2009.
Meanwhile, ResolutionMD Cardiac offers a variety of features for cardiac image analysis of both cardiac CT and MRI images. For cardiac CT, it offers Agatston scoring of coronary calcium, MIP/MPR reformats, curved reformats, volume rendering, segmentation, and functional analysis for cardiac CT angiography; for cardiac MR scans, the software supports functional, flow, and viability analysis.
The software can be deployed as an integrated component of a PACS network or via a zero-footprint client/server solution. Like ResolutionMD Web, Calgary Scientific has filed for FDA approval of the software and expects availability in the first quarter of 2009.
