(Booth 7149) Image-guided surgical planning will be highlighted in Medtronic Navigation's booth, with the Louisville, CO, company demonstrating its StealthViz package.
The StealthViz advanced planning application works with the company's StealthStation surgical navigation workstation for general purpose 2D/3D image planning and review. It imports digital diagnostic and functional datasets from multiple imaging modalities, and enables physicians to review and analyze data.
Key features include StealthDTI, a diffusion tensor imaging (DTI) processing and interactive fiber tracking application, and multimodality image fusion and structure segmentation. There is no preset limit on the number of gradients that can be processed, and it's available in Windows and Linux versions.
The software was cleared by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration in August 2008, and it will be available in the U.S. and the rest of the world in December 2008.
