Avenda Health is launching Surgery Mode, a suite of intraoperative features for its Unfold AI prostate cancer mapping platform.
The platform analyzes a patient’s MRI, biopsy, pathology, and prostate-specific antigen data to produce a 3D map of the cancer’s extent.
Surgery Mode allows surgeons to use the maps during robotic and nonrobotic procedures. New capabilities include the following:
- Enlarged 3D views and a cancer estimation map that can be adjusted to match the surgical console’s camera angle
- Review of underlying MRI slices during the procedure
- A capsule risk score overlay that automatically mirrors the surgical camera view, providing color-coded risk by quadrant to guide nerve-sparing decisions
- Updated case management and administrative tools for physicians and staff
Unfold AI predicts cancer spread into nearby anatomy with 92% accuracy, compared with 52% using MRI alone, according to the company.
