Healthcare informatics firm Eclipsys has closed on its acquisition of physician practice information services provider MediNotes of West Des Moines, IA.
Eclipsys paid approximately $45 million in stock and cash for MediNotes, which now becomes a wholly owned subsidiary of Atlanta-based Eclipsys.
MediNotes has practice management and electronic medical record products installed in more than 5,000 medical practices across the U.S. Eclipsys plans to launch MediNotes' products and outline its strategy at the Eclipsys User Network Annual Outcomes Conference in Atlanta next week.
