Canadian medical imaging and PACS software developer Cedara Software has introduced OrthoWorks, a suite of desktop and Web server software targeted for orthopedic surgeons. With OrthoWorks, orthopedists can download and distribute prosthetic templates over the Internet, reducing maintenance costs for orthopedic implant suppliers, Cedara said.
Providing instant access to digital images, surgical planning aids, measurement tools, and a library of digital prosthetic templates, OrthoWorks allows orthopedic surgeons to prepare for surgery from the hospital, home, or elsewhere, according to the Mississauga, Ontario-based firm.
OrthoWorks modules integrate with existing PACS networks, as well as digital modalities and information systems, Cedara said. The application is available via a CD for standard PCs or as a drop-in Web server application.
