Information systems developer IDX Systems signed several RIS/PACS agreements in the second quarter. New clients for the Burlington, VT-based vendor’s Imagecast RIS/PACS offering include: Midland Memorial Hospital in Midland, TX; PeaceHealth, an integrated delivery network (IDN) in Bellevue, WA; and Premier Health Partners of Dayton, OH, an IDN that recently went live with the product.
In other IDX news, the vendor posted second-quarter revenues of $98.3 million, up 16% compared with $85.1 million booked in the second quarter of 2002. For the period (end-June 30) IDX had net income of $32.1 million, compared with $2.8 million in the second quarter last year. Net income for the second quarter of 2003 includes income from discontinued operations consisting primarily of a gain, net of income taxes, of $26.4 million associated with the company’s sale of its EDiX business.
For the first half of its fiscal year, the firm reported revenues of $190.7 million, up 15% compared with revenues of $166 million for the same period in 2002. For the six-month period, IDX reported net income of $36 million, compared with net income of $6.9 million in the same period last year.
