PACS provider Merge eFilm reported second-quarter revenues of $6.4 million, up 54% compared with the same period a year ago. For the quarter (end-June 30), the Milwaukee-based firm had net income of $1.4 million, compared with net income of $600,000 last year.
Merge has increased its 2003 revenue guidance to range between $29 million and $30 million, with annual growth of approximately 38% to 40%. The firm is also raising its diluted earnings-per-share guidance on an after-tax basis to 49¢ and 52¢ per share, excluding charges related to its recent acquisition of RIS Logic. The purchase of RIS Logic is expected to be earnings-neutral, excluding acquisition-related charges, for the remainder of 2003, and accretive thereafter, Merge said.
