Cedara posts Q2 gains

Revenues at PACS software developer Cedara Software rose 47% in the company’s fiscal 2004 second quarter (end-December 31) when compared with its fiscal 2003 second quarter.

For the period, Cedara posted sales of $9.1 million (U.S.), compared with sales of $6.2 million in the corresponding period the previous fiscal year. The Mississauga, Ontario-based firm posted net income of $2.9 million, compared with a net loss of $2.9 million in the second quarter of fiscal 2003.

For the first half of the fiscal year, revenues were $16.8 million, an increase of 53% compared with $10.9 million booked the previous year. Net income for the six months was $4.2 million, compared with a net loss of $6 million in the same period of 2003.
