PACS and image distribution technology developer RealTimeImage is introducing several new enhancements to its iPACS line at this week's annual meeting of the Society for Computer Applications in Radiology (SCAR) in Vancouver.
OrthoPlanner is a Web-based digital workflow product that can convert a standard network-connected PC into a full-featured, specialized orthopedic workstation with optional archiving capability, according to the San Bruno, CA-based vendor. Key features include a Web-based orthopedic viewer, preoperative planning tools for total joint replacement, multivendor template overlay support, enhanced measurement and navigation tools, and advanced reporting capabilities, RealTimeImage said.
In other SCAR introductions, RealTimeImage will introduce iLink, a broker that adds support for modality worklist and related functions to the firm's iPACS network. The vendor will also showcase a free iPACS standalone DICOM viewer, which will allow for viewing of DICOM images from any source, independent of a network connection to the iPACS server.
