PACS subsidiary Amicas signed 12 new customers for its image and information management system during its second quarter (end-June 30), producing a company record for new customers and total number of contacted sites.
The 37 new sites include seven hospitals representing three hospital entities, 15 sites representing four radiology group entities, and 15 outpatient diagnostic centers representing five multicenter imaging center entities, according to Amicas' parent company, VitalWorks.
In addition, five of the 12 new customers have also signed on to employ VitalWorks' RadConnect RIS integrated with the Amicas Vision Series PACS. Three hospitals will also utilize a healthcare information system from information systems firm Meditech of Westwood, MA.
New second-quarter customers included Quincy Medical Center in Quincy, MA, and Madison Radiology in Madison, WI.
