GE Healthcare

GE will emphasize version 3.0 of Centricity PACS, as well as its Centricity Radiology RIS/PACS offering.

Centricity 3.0 features new Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise (IHE) profiles that automate exam acquisition, reporting, and communication with reporting physicians, according to the Chalfont St. Giles, U.K.-based vendor. New Centricity customers will also be able to deploy an updated Linux infrastructure, while current clients can install version 3.0 within their existing infrastructure, GE said.

Other features in Centricity PACS 3.0 include new decision-support tools such as Business Intelligence Portal, which aims to assist administrators in maximizing resources. GE has also incorporated enhanced security tools, new voice-driven commands, and configurable worklists.

GE said it will also showcase its Advantage Workstation (AW) Suite 2, and the combination of AW software with Centricity PACS. Specific advanced visualization tools for CT, MR, PET/CT, and x-ray are now enabled on any networked PACS PC, according to the vendor.

GE will also launch Centricity Radiology, which combines Centricity PACS with Centricity RIS-IC (formerly IDX Imagecast). Centricity Radiology allows radiologists and other care providers to manage workflow and leverage a common RIS across geographically dispersed locations, according to the vendor. Clinicians also have immediate access to significant clinical findings, associated images, and tools for reducing manual data entry errors, GE said.
