Meta Fusion will be rolling out its Helium RIS/PACS application for imaging centers and small hospitals.

2006 10 30 16 21 29 706Helium ships preconfigured to each installation's specifications, eliminating the need for IT support, according to the Silicon Valley, CA-based vendor. It employs a similar IT backbone to the firm's enterprise healthcare IT appliances, and includes comprehensive RIS workflow, Meta Fusion said.

PACS functionality includes filmless image interpretation, communications, and archiving; Helium's user interface supports individual user preferences, according to the firm. Remote 24/7 monitoring and downloadable upgrades are included.
